"Aim High"

A true fusion of all of her talents, AIM HIGH displays Shanelle's prowess as an award-winning poet and vocalist. A fusion of spoken word, soulful singing, and hip-hop, it features appearances by lyricist Kel Spencer, rapper Livewire, Christian femme-cee HeeSun Lee, beatboxer Greymatter, ATL's own Willie Hyn, and a cameo from SpokenReasons. All poems and songs were written by Shanelle Gabriel with production from Chris "Theory" Bradley from Atlanta, the JahRock'n Productions team in NYC, Marshall "Soulful" Jones in LA, and the Bronx's own DJ Static.

"Start Something"

START SOMETHING is the first album from HBO Def Poet/Singer Shanelle Gabriel. This album, winner of the 2007 Alternative Soul CD Award, shares Shanelle's spoken word poetry with splashes of her soulful singing, awesome production, and several live recordings. Features the poem "A Message to My Girls", the gospel-infused "I Feel Like Going On", "The Reasons I Love You" (the poem she performed on HBO's Def Poetry Jam), and the title track with the Hip-Hop feel "Start Something".
