I read Dick Gregory's book "Nigger" back in the 5th grade when I stumbled on it at the library. It's how I first learned about his wisdom, his comedy, his passion for civil rights and social justice, and it resulted in my deep reverence for his name. He's a part of a legacy of entertainers who weren't afraid to get their hands dirty, risk their careers, and refused to be silent about what was going on in the world. We lost a soldier, a friend, a man who wanted the best for his people. Rest In Peace, Dick Gregory. #rip #dickgregory
